Spend an afternoon learning the mesmerising art of mosaics. Join artist Geoffrey Odgers to create a small trivet in beautiful mosaic style.

Your next broken plate doesn't need to be a disaster - it can be an opportunity to create something unique and beautiful!

Join multi-talented, Bas-exhibiting artist Geoffrey Odgers to gain insight and tips into how he approaches his mosaic art. Under his expert guidance you can choose to create a small trivet or coaster.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • learn the basics and techniques for preparing the surface
  • discover the best materials for achieving various effects
  • unleash their creativity to design a beautiful mosaic.

This workshop is ideal for beginners or those with limited experience looking to explore the mindful art of mosaic making.

Saturday Sessions at the Bas are open to adult residents and visitors interested in immersing themselves in a fun and hands-on class. Participants can learn artistic techniques taught by some of Eurobodalla’s most talented artists. No previous experience is necessary.

Don't miss this opportunity to try a different medium of creative expression in this very hands-on workshop.

Spaces are limited, so make sure to secure your spot by registering in advance. We look forward to seeing you at the event!

About the presenter

Odgers is a highly skilled, self-taught artist based in Tuross Head on NSW's south coast. With years of experience exhibiting his paintings, collages, and mosaics both nationally and internationally, he has garnered significant recognition. In June 2024, he held a solo exhibition at the Bas, which featured a collage workshop as a complementary event.

During this workshop, Odgers will share his unique approach to creating art with mosaics. His mosaic works have been showcased in virtual exhibitions in Uruguay and globally through the Ceramic & Mosaic Art 2 group (CMA2).
