Speechie Library Talk - Narooma Library

An informative talk for parents and carers about language and literacy development in children from zero to three.

Join us for a Speechie library talk. Did you know that one in five Australian children are developmentally behind in their language skills before they even start school?

The Speechie library talk presented by local speech pathologist Claire Price from South Coast Speech Pathology will go for about an hour. Some of the topics to be covered are:

· choosing the right books

· ways parents and carers can help to build language and literacy

· encouraging interactions

· how to support multi-lingual children through book reading

· what to do if your child is having difficulties with reading

· and more…

The presentation will also include an informative book reading of one of the Association’s Book of the Year winning children’s books.

We invite parents, carers and others interested in children’s language and literacy development, to attend a talk and book reading in November.

These sessions are for parents and carers of children from birth to 3 years old.

Free Event. Bookings essential.
