Author talk with Jane Sandilands - Moruya

Jane Sandilands is the author of "Lost and Found". Jane takes an honest look at the why and how of writing about one's own life.

Join author Jane Sandilands for a morning discussion about her book, Lost and Found.

Writing her own life story began with a question, as stories always do. After more than forty years of writing about others, Jane’s two youngest grandsons asked her a question. They knew Jane had been born in England during the Second World War and asked what toys she had. Could she remember? Yes indeed. What else? Quite a lot, as it happens. This is how ‘Lost and Found’ started. Jane’s life story has themes of searching and finding, the role of families and friends, the power of luck, the excitement of travel - and a later-life romance.

Jane will be interviewed by Carmel Mackin, a local Tuross Head resident. Before moving to the South Coast, Carmel taught English in Europe, Africa, and Australia. She loves languages, English literature, travel, and theatre. She is deeply interested in what makes people tick which is why she’s excited to do this interview.

Join us for this unique talk that is an honest look at the why and how of writing about one’s own life. Jane’s books will be on sale and light refreshments will be served.
