Home grown mushroom workshop - Narooma.

Learn how to grow and cultivate your own mushrooms.

Join us at our libraries for some dirty, hands-on fun. Learn how to cultivate and grow your own mushrooms.

Shroom expert and Fungi Festival organiser Josh Whitworth will show you how to grow easy mushrooms – oyster and red-wine caps – at home. He’ll demonstrate using straw and woodchips to make a shady, outdoor mushroom bed and explore ways you can have a controlled small space for indoor mushrooms too.

You’ll go home with a bucket mushroom kit with spawn to use indoors or on an outdoor mushroom bed.

Tickets are $25.00 which includes your own starter bucket of mushroom grain spawn to take home. Larger buckets will also be available to purchase on the day.

These workshops are held outdoors. Bring your hat, sunscreen or wet weather gear if required. Gardening gloves and a love of fungi essential.
